Aircraft

Piper Lance N6940F
Glendale Flying Club currently owns three aircraft: a Piper Warrior II PA28-161, Cessna Skylane C-182 and a Piper Lance.  All aircraft are owned and maintained for the exclusive use of Glendale members.  Each aircraft receives complete FAA Annual Inspections every 200 hours flight time and at least once per year as part of our commitment to maintaining safe, trouble-free aircraft.  All aircraft are IFR certified with dual King NAV/COMs with glideslope and marker beacons, ADF’s and Mode C transponders.  The Piper Lance has DME, Loran, and HSI. The Piper Warrior and Piper Lance both have two axis auto pilots.  We are currently considering the installation of FAA approved GPS receivers in the aircraft.

Facilities and Equipment

All of the aircraft are parked by the hanger operated by Eagle Broadcasting located near the Bowman Field control tower and Louisville Flight Service Station. The hanger has been setup by www.KerrisdaleRoofingAndDrains.com which ensures the safety of the aircrafts at all times. The FBO can be reached by telephone or by radio on 122.95.  The FBO will fuel the aircraft upon request of the club members at no charge or the members can use the AIR BP "Self Serve" pump and an AIR BP Credit Cards provided with the aircraft.  Glendale maintains a pre-heater and de-ice sprayer for the use of our members in the hangar.

Club Policies

Glendale exists to provide for its members a convenient means of flying or learning to fly with safe and dependable aircraft at economical rates.  Glendale will maintain at least one aircraft for every 15 members.  A waiting list may exist to enter the club if the 15:1 pilot to aircraft ratio is exceeded or until the club can acquire an additional aircraft.  Glendale would like to continue to grow to a maximum of 50 members.  This will require the purchase of at least one additional new aircraft; type and style will be determined by the board of directors after surveying the membership.
